QuickStart Training
The Black Duck QuickStart program is a 3 day training session, conducted at your site, regardless of its location.
An experienced trainer will visit your office(s) and teach you and your technical, legal and executive staffs how to effectively utilize your Black Duck solutions.
In addition, our trainers will work with your data in order to make the training session more relevant to your needs and to eliminate the ‘double learning curve’ that students can experience when trained using generic data.
The Black Duck Quick Start program consists of two main components: training & application consulting.
Training
Before training takes place, a trainer will contact you to cover your particular needs, objectives, skills and processes so a customized curriculum can be delivered. By customizing the training, students learn how to use their solution in a course that is more relevant to their daily jobs which enables them to quickly be more productive.
The training curriculum generally covers the following areas:
- Introduction to the solution
- Project Management and Identification

Application Consulting
Application consulting takes place during training as it allows you to put your newly acquired knowledge right into action.
Our trainers will work with your end-users to identify and create actual projects, analyze code and work through the identification, review and reporting process.
We’ll also work with your legal team to implement license and component approval and disapproval, customize licenses and obligations based on internal policy and procedures and much more.
Application consulting is perfect for giving your end-users the head start they need to ensure that policies and processes are implemented to their full potential.
